Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada is an actress best known for playing Bo on the Showcase series Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay is the producer and director of drama in St. Thomas University, is Silk's mom. The father of Silk, Peter who was an academic, worked at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna holds some of her earliest memories of watching television and attending rehearsals for performances. Silk produced a number of commercials when she was still in the midst of her childhood. Her Bachelor of Arts was conferred to her by St. Thomas University, 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two productions during the beginning of her career: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto Canada in the month of November of 1999, to keep acting. Then she moved in Los Angeles California during the following decade. Seth Cooperman was her future husband when she was introduced to him in an actor's workshop in Los Angeles. They were engaged in 2009, and were married with a civil ceremony the month of December in that same year. After she had converted to Judaism and they renew their vows in the Jewish ceremony on April 10, 2011 in Fredericton. Silk got a baby named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13 2013. Levi Aaron, her second son was born on the 13th of May, 2016. Silk's work on television includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica and she won the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. Silk was cast in the role as Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian TV series Lost Girl in 2009. Silk announced to the fans the joyous announcement that she became pregnant on the set of the final episode of season 3 in an exclusive pre-show to promote Season Three. This was presented by Showcase during the special Season Three show held January 6, 2013 before the series' premiere. Silk revealed via Twitter, on the 20th of June, 2013 that production had begun on Season 4. On 4 June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed the beginning of production for Season 4, which will air in the fourth season. Her portrayal of Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender on Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite Television Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) and named the Top Television Couple in 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk is the result, and its popularity on social media has grown to a huge online following.
