The native to Puyallup Washington Butler was interested in performing arts as she grew in her teens. She was a performer in high school theatre and in the community theatre. Then she moved to Los Angeles and studied theatre at the University of Southern California. for a year and a half, she was Belle the princess in Beauty and the Beast. When she dropped out of college and starting to search for a talent agency, and auditioning to work in film and television. Butler began filming The Stranger Within, a psychological drama The Stranger Within alongside Estella Warren and William Baldwin in Mallorca Spain during November of 2011. The film was scheduled to shoot on location in Copenhagen Denmark and New York City.She joined the cast of the feature film independent Treachery starring Michael Biehn which began filming in Los Angeles in June 2012. Butler co-starred with Michael Welch in 2013's horror film The Demented.
